Sharing Stories About Independence Day

Red fireworks rain down like a waterfall of color.

One of the traditions my family used to do when I was growing up was go to Morro Bay, California, which is a small fishing village halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  We’d go to Cayucus and watch their fireworks show.  The next day was a trip to the beach because it was just plain cool to see the discarded fireworks on the sand.   I still remember smelling the brininess of the sea and the black powder of the fireworks.

Drop in for a moment and tell us what your July 4th traditions are.  Post in the comments below.
